Welcome to KOI
KOI works to empower individuals with special needs and promoting neurodiversity within education systems. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in Orange County, we strive to create inclusive learning environments and raise awareness through educational workshops, the development of neurodiverse resources, and volunteer support in special needs classrooms. Our goal is to foster understanding, acceptance, and opportunity for all.
What We Do

01 Children's Education
Our children's glossary covers over 30 terms related to neurodiversity, including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and more. Each definition is written in a way that is easy for children to understand, with simple language and relatable examples to help them grasp complex concepts.
02 Therapy Series
KOI promotes therapeutic practices for individuals with developmental disabilities. Through our curated Math+Art (M-ART) workbooks, we blend simple math applications like counting, counting money, or cooking, with creative expression. These workbooks are designed to enhance cognitive skills, encourage self-expression, and make learning enjoyable.

Starting at Arnold O. Beckman High School, KOI founder Caroline Cho implemented an interactive music program for special-needs classrooms. This weekly-program includes workshops and performance sessions, using music to help students communicate, socialize, and express themselves in a supportive environment.
03 Music Buddies

The KOI curriculum consists of workshops (in-person and online) teaching children and students the fundamental concept of the brain and its differences that could lead to unique abilities!
